Starting your local online lead generation campaigns is a big deal, and we want to make sure you have all the information you need before getting started. This page will walk you through our setup process, and give you some insight on how we do things.

Our Philosophy


CODEMAY was founded on the principle that great work is built by great relationships. We believe that everyone deserves the best possible service, no matter what size their business is, or what their budget is. Because of that, we’re franchise-focused in everything we do. Our goal is to make your job as easy as possible!


Campaign Sign Up


The first step is to give us your basic studio information so we can get you into our system. This will allow our team to set up the proper landing pages, as well as integrations.


CODEMAY employs a specific, standard lead generation strategy. However every territory is different and may require some unique geographical targeting. Please put in the notes anything unique and relevant about your area.


Budget & Subscription


CODEMAY is a month-to-month subscription based service, kind of like Netflix or Hulu. After you’ve completed the Campaign Setup Form, you’ll be directed to a page to choose your advertising budget, and set up your subscription. We recommend not spending less than $500/mo on Google, and $1,000/mo on Facebook, but you can definitely spend more to get more leads!


Your first month is always pro-rated from the day you sign up until the end of the month, and is set to auto-renew on the 1st of each month. Don’t worry, we’ll always remind you that your account will auto-renew, and you can cancel at any time.

We create your ads & run them. You don’t have to worry about anything other than selling memberships!

Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS)

Every CODEMAY client is assigned to a DMS. The DMS is your point of contact for all questions or concerns about your campaigns. Your DMS is the person running your campaign. Although emails are always the fastest way to reach your DMS, you can schedule a call with them if you need to.

Custom Landing Pages

All CODEMAY marketing clients get unlimited access to our custom landing page builder, CODEMAY CLICKS.  You can request any landing page you need for your studio, even for non-digital marketing efforts.

Real-Time Metrics

We believe full-transparency is the best policy. Every CODEMAY marketing client gets their own account dashboard to be able to review all of the same metrics we look at. On top of that, you get a weekly recap email reviewing all of the metrics from the previous 7-days.

CRM Integration


After a subscription has been set up, it typically takes about one business day to assign your account to one of our Digital Marketing Specialists. From that point it takes 2-3 business days to get everything set up from your ads and landing pages, all the way to emailing you previews of your ads. During the Setup process, we’ll be integrating with your CRM, Club Ready. This allows us to seamlessly pass your leads directly to you. All CODEMAY leads are properly tagged when they come into your system, and we can even set up the pages to allow your leads to directly book into any intro class you offer.

Ad Creation & Approval


We typically use a combination of different pictures, videos, and ad copy provided to us by corporate marketing teams that have proven to be effective. Locally produced content is allowed, but we do require that you run all images and videos by corporate first. Customers running presale campaigns are required to reach out to their DMS when they have hit a membership goal and are ready to change their offer. This is best done via email to your DMS.



During the first few weeks to a month we encourage as much feedback as possible from you. Our ultimate gauge of success is that you’re happy with the lead volume and quality for your area. Again, communicating with your DMS is best done in writing. This is how things get done quickest and never mis-communicated.

Territories & Targeting


Quality of leads is just as important as quantity of leads. The most important thing of any campaign is converted members. You can generate tons of leads at a low cost per lead, but if they aren’t converting into members, none of it really matters. A lot of marketing vendors will expand the targeting, or widen the demographic targeting to generate more, lower-cost leads. Doing this can increase the leads volume, but often lowers the quality of the leads to a point where they don’t convert enough to generate a positive ROI.

Radius Targeting

The easiest way to target your campaign is choosing a radius around your location. This works for most campaigns, depending on the size of the territory you own. Not only do we take your territory into account, but we think with how far are people willing to travel.

Expanding the Radius

The easiest, and often the laziest, way to generate more leads in a marketing campaign is to expand the targeting. This gets your message in front of more people, who sign up. However, expanding the targeting means your message in getting in front of people who aren’t in your territory, and most likely won’t travel to you for your classes. This lowers the quality of the leads, and lowers your overall lead to member conversion rate. It often also violates Corporate restrictions.

Overlapping Territories

Another issue with expanding geo-targeting to generate leads is territory overlapping. Not only is the campaign going after people less likely to convert, but that campaign violates territory restrictions, and creates artificial competition between locations.

You Might Still Have Questions… We Have The Answers


No way! You can spend as much as you want. The budget recommendations we give are only there as a bare-minimum recommendation. We like to use that as a starting point to make sure the campaign is performing as it should, without spending a bunch of money in the learning phase. Once your campaign is dialed-in, you should absolutely put your foot on the gas and give it as much as you can.

Yes! Although we know what it really means when your partner says “We need a break”, we’re a fan of giving you the ability to turn your campaign on and off whenever you want. Just speak with your Digital Marketing Specialist and they’ll be happy to help you out.

Although we’ll definitely be bummed to see you go, we understand that sometimes things just don’t work out. If you want to cancel, simply access the “My Subscriptions” part of your CODEMAY account dashboard, and you’ll find a button there to cancel. Our system will automatically make sure that your account won’t be charged the next month, and we’ll finish out the rest of the campaign.

Of course! Every CODEMAY client is provided with their very own login to review real-time campaign metrics. We also set up weekly emails to recap the previous week.
